PocketAid™ was born from a clear mission: to make hearing support more accessible, more affordable, and far simpler than the traditional route.

With over 17 years of direct audiology experience in Australian clinics, hearing specialists Suzanne Porter and Don Hudson saw first-hand the frustrations many people faced. Long wait times, high costs, and complex fittings often stood in the way of better hearing.

During the height of the Covid-19 pandemic, when many people were understandably reluctant to attend in-person appointments, Don and Suzanne partnered with experienced engineers to develop something new — a high-quality, over-the-counter hearing aid that could be used straight out of the box, without the need for tests or clinic visits.

Grounded in real data from over 1,000 client audiograms covering a wide range of hearing loss levels, they created a device that offered clear, natural sound and automatic performance for people with mild to severe hearing difficulties. The results spoke for themselves.

By the end of 2020, more than 1,000 people were using what would become the Jaspa 3 - many of whom reported results equal to or better than hearing aids that had cost them thousands.

One early customer helped inspire our name. After receiving his Jaspa 3, he told us he finally felt comfortable enough to keep his hearing aids in his pocket - something he’d never dared to do with the far more expensive pair he’d previously owned. The idea of a “Pocket-Aid” was born.

Since then, our range has grown and evolved. Today, PocketAid™ hearing aids are trusted by thousands and now available in the UK. We're proud to offer a practical, straightforward solution that puts better hearing within reach, without compromise.
